Seeking to optimize their business processes, achieve higher levels of visibility over their inventories and ensure product availability in their stores to provide a better shopping experience for their customers, Modella.
From revealing and evaluating how this technology is modifying the retail market and generating significant competitive advantages in companies recognized worldwide as Zara, Target and H&M, the company decided to implement the Smart Retail solution developed by Telectrónica (www.telectronica.com).
Smart Retail is a software platform that allows you to manage all the processes of the supply chain through the identification and automatic data capture through RFID, integrating with the software platforms used by the customer
From this implementation, all the items that Modella Group manufactures both in Chile and abroad, will be identified with an RFID tag at the time of manufacture.
This identification will be subsequently read in each of the stages of the distribution chain, until it reaches the stores.
In this way, Modella Group can control efficiently and quickly, that all products received and dispatched in its distribution center, and in its stores, are free of errors and allow to know in real time and in a reliable way, what is your Availability and location. In this way, errors generated by missing inventory will be eliminated and an integrated view of the stock will be available to meet any customer requirement, either in the store where they wish to buy and withdraw their product or through ecommerce.
Knowing precisely the location of each item within its chain of stores and deposits is a key aspect of success for today's retail.

There we had the possibility of knowing the Telecommunications proposal and its “Smart Retail” solution, based on RFID technology from Zebra Technologies.
Based on the interest generated, we decided to visit successful installations of the solution in Argentina. As a result of that experience and from the feedback we obtained from users, we decided to move forward in the implementation of RFID technology within Modella, becoming the first retail in the fashion industry in Chile
in using this tool from 2019.
Through RFID we seek to improve product availability in our stores, increase the reliability and visibility of inventories and provide a store withdrawal service (or home delivery) to customers who choose to buy online, cementing the foundations of our omnichannel strategy.
