The fulfillment of stock orders for the stores is carried out using portable RFID terminals that read every product being dispatched, ensuring that every order is prepared correctly.
Every store uses a portable RFID terminal for all Smart Retail applications (merchandise reception, inventory audits, product location, display control, product price and availability checks, and others).
Additionally, and aimed at improving its clients’ shopping experience, Prüne and Telectrónica are developing additional Smart Retail features related to Prüne’s omnichannel strategy and to improve product supply and replenishment in stores.
By implementing RFID in all stores and products, Prüne achieved total inventory visibility, enabling consolidated inventory management. Under this system, each store is considered a “satellite warehouse” from which orders can be prepared to be either picked up at the same store or delivered to the customer’s home, using local inventory. This minimizes the logistics costs of transfers, increases profit margins for e-commerce sales, and reduces delivery times for customers, resulting in a higher level of service and satisfaction.
“This implementation is the first of its kind in Latin America and reflects Prüne’s focus on innovating business processes through cutting-edge technologies such as RFID.
We are proud to have been selected as their technological partner for this project.” Lic. Alan Gidekel - CEO of Telectrónica.
